''Blind'' Seer

Here's a charcoal drawing of my D&D character's mother. She isn't really blind, but pretends to be in order to make her skills as a fortune teller seem more mystifying than they really are. She does have a gift for divination, but she knows she'll get more gold out of her clients if she plays into it more! I've developed her backstory quite a bit, actually. She was once a harlot, but fled that life after she became pregnant. She chose to run off with a gang of vagabonds that were part of a traveling circus. She took her role as a fortune teller and gave birth to my character within the circus, so she was raised around all those carnies. Her mom hasn't had the happiest life, but it is certainly full of adventure! Now that my Bard has grown up, she is deciding to take her leave from the circus (with her small monkey companion in tow! 🐒) and find her own fortune so that she may one day return and aid her aging mother, as the traveling circus life is beginning to weigh her down.
